Murcia weather forecast August 11-14: Orange alerts for extreme temperatures
A large part of central Murcia could see temperatures as high as 40ºC early this week

Weather alert on Monday August 11
The heatwave blanketing all of Spain and much of Europe is showing no signs of letting up, with the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasting suffocating heat until at least the middle of this week.
In the Region of Murcia, the week is going to start off with a scorcher and these sky-high temperatures look set to continue for a few more days.
Monday August 11

Monday will be mostly bright and sunny with a light smattering of clouds at times and even the odd, isolated shower in the northwest. An orange alert for temperatures of up to 40ºC has been issued in the Vega del Segura while a yellow heat warning has been activated in Jumilla and Yecla, where the mercury will hover around 39ºC.
Tuesday August 12

These same weather warnings remain in effect on Tuesday, although central Murcia has been downgraded to a yellow alert. Nevertheless, the maximum daytime temperatures will still range between a scorching 34ºC to 39ºC.
Tuesday night will also be very stuffy, with night-time temperatures failing to dip below 21ºC.
The day itself will be partly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms in the mountains.
Wednesday August 13

Aemet has lifted the weather alerts for Wednesday but far from signalling cooler weather, the maximum temperatures will only dip by a degree or two at the very most. The skies will be partly cloudy or clear with scattered showers again possible in the northwest mountain ranges.
Thursday August 14

The forecast for Thursday is almost identical to previous days, with a chance of rain in the mountains and mostly clear skies elsewhere. Daytime temperatures will range between 35ºC and 39ºC.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia this week
- Monday August 11: Min 19ºC; Max 40ºC
- Tuesday August 12: Min 21ºC; Max 39ºC
- Wednesday August 13: Min 20ºC; Max 39ºC
- Thursday August 14: Min 19ºC; Max 39ºC
