Three months left in 2026: Elysium Wealth Advisors on why now is the time to get your finances in order
A few practical steps before the year ends could make a real difference to your peace of mind in 2027
With autumn well underway and the year drawing to a close, there's a natural moment for reflection that comes around every September and October. It's the perfect nudge to take stock, tidy up loose ends and make sure your finances are actually working for you rather than just sitting there hoping for the best. That's exactly where Elysium Wealth Advisors can help. They work with expats and international families across Spain, bringing together pensions, investments, savings and future plans into one clear, coordinated picture, rather than a jumble of separate decisions made at different times and in different countries. Why the last quarter matters
Life abroad has a habit of getting busy, and financial planning is often the thing that quietly slips down the list. But with roughly three months left until the year ends, now is a genuinely useful window to review where things stand. Whether you moved to Spain years ago or more recently, your circumstances, and the plans you made when you first arrived, may well have shifted since.
A few areas worth thinking about before the year is out:
- UK pensions and SIPPs. If your pension arrangements haven't been reviewed since you moved, it's worth checking they still make sense alongside your wider retirement plans.
- Investments across borders. Holding assets in more than one country and currency can get complicated fast. A coordinated approach can bring some welcome clarity.
- Estate and succession planning. If your family, assets or beneficiaries span more than one country, it's worth making sure everything is properly joined up.
- Life changes. A house sale, an inheritance, a retirement date brought forward, these are all good reasons to revisit your plan rather than assume it still fits.
A joined up approach, not a checklist
What sets Elysium Wealth Advisors apart is that they don't look at your pension in isolation from your investments, or your investments in isolation from your estate planning. Everything is considered together, built around your actual goals, whether that's long term growth, a steady retirement income, protecting your family, or simply having access to capital when you need it. For expats juggling assets and plans across more than one country, that kind of joined up thinking can make an enormous difference.
Where tax or legal matters come into play, Elysium works alongside suitably qualified local professionals too, so nothing falls through the cracks between jurisdictions.
A good moment to reach out
There's something rather satisfying about heading into a new year with your affairs properly in order, rather than carrying uncertainty forward with you. If it's been a while since you looked closely at your pensions, investments or estate plans, the last few months of the year offer a natural, unpressured moment to do just that.
Getting in touch with Elysium Wealth Advisors could be the first step towards starting 2027 with genuine clarity and confidence about where you stand financially, wherever in the world your life and assets happen to be.
