Accommodation in Alhama de Murcia, Casa El Lebrillo and Casa La Tinaja (Gebas)
Up to 12 guests at two village houses in Gebas, in the foothills of Sierra Espuña
Casa El Lebrillo and Casa La Tinaja are two village houses built along traditional lines in Gebas, in the foothills of the mountain range of Sierra Espuña, and offer a chance to get away into the countryside on a self-catering basis. The properties date back to the late 19th century but were extensively restored and refurbished in 1997.
Each property contains three bedrooms (two with twin beds and the other with a double), two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living-room with fireplace and a patio with barbecue. In total, a combined booking can therefore accommodate up to 12 people.
As well as a comfortable place to stay in the mountains, one of the main attractions of Casa El Lebrillo and Casa La Tinaja is of course their location within the Sierra Espuña, where the mountains of central Murcia attract numerous visitors interested in walking, mountain biking, quad biking, climbing, photography, and a host of other activities: the owners are able to provide advice on all of these. Gebas is also within easy driving distance of the towns of Aledo, Alhama, Totana, Mula and Pliego, and the spectacular lunar landscape of the Barrancos de Gebas.
Unfortunately, the layout of the two houses is such that no special accessibility has been provided for visitors of limited mobility.
The houses have been awarded the European Certificate of Sustainable Tourism.
