Andalucía weather forecast March 20-24: Stormy days ahead with heavy rain and strong winds
Storm Martinho to bring widespread rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across the region
The unsettled weather across Andalucía is set to continue as Storm Martinho sweeps in from the Atlantic, bringing heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds. The western half of the region will bear the brunt of the storm, with persistent downpours and the risk of localised flooding. While some eastern areas may escape the worst of the rainfall, high winds and muddy rain caused by suspended dust will still be a concern. Winds will be strong, particularly along the coast and in higher-altitude areas, with powerful gusts likely. Temperatures will be on the rise overnight, but daytime highs will drop in the west while climbing slightly in the east.

Temperatures will continue to fall, though coastal areas will remain slightly milder. Winds will be brisk from the southwest, increasing in strength along the Mediterranean coastline.

Strong winds will persist, especially along the Mediterranean coast, where gusts could be very powerful in exposed areas.
Overall, Andalucía faces a stormy and unsettled few days, with a mix of heavy rain, strong winds, and falling temperatures. Those in western areas should be particularly prepared for intense downpours and possible thunderstorms, while snow could become a factor in the higher elevations later in the weekend.
