Clear skies and sun with a chance of some scattered showers: Alicante weather forecast May 11-14
Mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures on the way for the Alicante province, with the risk of some showers and thunderstorms

The worst of the bad weather is over for now, but it's not plain sailing yet as some unsettled weather is expected in the province of Alicante this week. Most of the week will be sunny with some cloudy spells, but as the week goes on, some scattered showers are expected, with even the odd thunderstorm on the horizon.
Here is the daily breakdown:
Monday May 11
There will be clear skies and plenty of sunshine on Monday and the temperatures will rise a little.
Light westerly winds are expected throughout Alicante but they will turn southerly around lunchtime and they may pick up a bit at the same time.
Tuesday May 12
Tuesday will start much the same as Monday but around lunchtime the cloud will build and could become quite overcast in places. The temperatures will be similar to Monday.
Winds will be light and variable in the morning, turning southerly around midday and then north-westerly later in the day.
Wednesday May 13
It will be pleasant on Wednesday morning but some cloud will develop in the afternoon. There will be a chance of some showers and thunderstorms inland in the north of the Province.
It will stay mild enough, with winds light and westerly, but in inland northern areas there will be a chance of some very strong winds.
Thursday May 14
Thursday looks like it will be the worst day this week. The day will start clear but it will become cloudy later on. Most of the Province will experience heavy showers and even some thunderstorms. The southern areas should stay dry and escape most of the bad weather.
Temperatures will drop a little. Winds will be light to moderate, coming mainly from the north.
All in all, it's shaping up to be a pleasant spring-like week, though it may be worth keeping an umbrella handy later in the week as scattered showers and thunderstorms move in.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante:

- Monday May 11: Min 11ºC, Max 26ºC
- Tuesday May 12: Min 13ºC, Max 27ºC
- Wednesday May 13: Min 12ºC, Max 28ºC
- Thursday May 14: Min 12ºC, Max 27ºC
