King's College Murcia named among Spain's top 100 private schools by Forbes magazine
Forbes has recognised educational excellence in the Region of Murcia in its annual ranking for 2025

Forbes magazine has once again published its highly anticipated list of the 100 best schools in Spain, with the 2025 edition including two prestigious schools from the Region of Murcia. The well-respected business and finance publication highlighted King’s College British School Murcia and El Limonar International School among the country’s top educational institutions.
This annual ranking is based on a thorough evaluation process, taking into account 36 objective criteria grouped into seven categories. These criteria are analysed by a committee of professionals with expertise in pedagogy, psychology and education.
King’s College British School Murcia earned its place in the top 100 thanks to its international education programme, which combines the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the British National Curriculum (A-Levels). Forbes noted that the school offers a broad selection of electives, such as dance, debating, computing and English literature.
The magazine also praised the school’s commitment to enriching learning beyond the classroom. Students benefit from educational trips both within Spain and abroad, with destinations including Paris and New York. They also have opportunities to participate in national and international debating competitions and gain work experience within the school, for example in the marketing department.
Sport also plays an important role at King’s College, with activities such as horse riding, diving, water sports, paddle surfing, sailing and windsurfing on offer, along with an annual ski trip. The school’s modern facilities include a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a dedicated sixth form centre, well-equipped stage libraries and an outdoor garden area. Academic counselling, specialised psychological support for special educational needs and speech and language therapy are also provided.
The presence of these two schools in Forbes’ ranking highlights the Region of Murcia’s growing reputation for excellence in private education.
