What’s on in Aguilas October 2025
Concerts, a wide variety of free guided visits and greats choice of cultural and social events as Águilas settles into autumn...
In some Mediterranean coastal resorts it is fair to say that the arrival of October brings with it the closure until the following spring of many of the restaurants, events venues and other items of interest to visitors and locals, but in Águilas in the south-west of the Region of Murcia this is far from being the case.
In fact, in many ways this the start of the season in Águilas - but not the summer season, when the town is swamped by beachgoers and sunseekers. Instead, the magnificent seafront auditorium is now back with its program for the 2024-25 season, which this month alone features the Verdi opera "La Traviata" and the start of the prestigious Paco Rabal amateur dramatics festival. On top of which, there are events featuring tango, jazz, a gastronomy fair and art exhibitions - so much to choose from, while other Spanish seaside towns are dormant until next Easter!
At the same time there is a plethora of free guided tours during the month INCLUDING ONE IN ENGLISH (!), showcasing the fascinating places and history of the town and the whole municipality, and of course IF the weather plays ball there is still time to enjoy an afternoon on the beach and a dip in the Med - remember, the air temperature is cooler now, but the sea is still warm!
Below is the agenda for October 2025 in Águilas (which is likely to be modified as the month progresses):

It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
