What to do in Mar Menor Golf Resort
There are plenty of social activities on the Mar Menor Golf Resort which are organised by resort management during peak weeks
In the summer, when there are plenty of residents and visitors to the Mar Menor Golf Resort in the Region of Murcia, there is a full social programme organised by the resort management, and information is posted on the noticeboards in the centre of the resort at the El Olivo social club.
Full information on all activities is available by phoning +34 634 316 021. The programme includes discos, sports days, dances, talent competitions, quizzes, and a whole host of activities for both grown-ups and kids. Details are posted in the social club at the centre of the resort.
For those keen on relaxation, don’t forget the spa centre in the hotel. This facility is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11.00am to 7.00pm and offers a wide range of massage treatments and other therapeutic experiences. Reservations can be made on site or by calling the hotel on +34 968 041 840. For a “relaxing massage” at the hotel spa after a hard day out on the course prices start at 40 euros.
Every Wednesday morning at the Golf Club Bar there is a meeting in the social club at 11.00am where new owners and holiday-makers can get to know the resort and meet their neighbours, or start sampling the snacks available in the social club bar!
Club MMGR sports and relaxation centre at the heart of the Golf Resort
The Club MMGR which is situated just inside the main entrance and security gate of Mar Menor Golf Resort offers activities including Basketball, Padel, Gym, Football, Mini golf, Swimming pool and Restaurant-Bar all aimed at creating a fun and healthy experience, with qualified instructors available. For more details and prices consult the Club MMGR website, call +34 625 65 42 08, email hq@clubmmgr.club and Facebook Club MMGR.
One of the best ways get around the resort is by bicycle, and those who wish to venture out into the “real world” can get to the beaches of Los Alcázares or the town of Torre Pacheco in just a few minutes. There is a cycle lane most of the way to Torre Pacheco, although the road to Los Alcázares is rather busier and you would be better advised to take your car.
