Águilas invests in repairing rural roads
The Town Council is carrying out maintenance and repair work on various country roads in the municipality
The Town Council of Águilas, through the Department of Agriculture, is in the process of carrying out various repair, clearing and maintenance works on rural roads in the municipality.
Specifically, according to the Councillor for Agriculture, Juan Ramón Gallego, work has been carried out on the roads of El Charcón, Los Navarros, San Isidro, La Huerta El Abad, Los Melenchones and La Perrera.
Soon, more work will be taking place on the roads of Las Casicas, Tortora and El Labradorcico.

“These works,” explained Gallego, “are crucial to improving visibility and safety on these roads, which are mainly used by workers in the agricultural sector.”
The councillor pointed out that these works will continue to be carried out on all roads that require them, as a way of improving facilities and installations for all the people who live and travel through the local area, whether that is down by the coast or inland.
For instance, another crucial arm of Águilas’s tourism plan is a brand-new sustainability study that aims to protect and preserve 13 crucial beaches in the municipality.
