Club MMGR Director of Padel travels to Chicago, Illinois to train and certify new padel coaches
Club MMGR Director of Padel and General Manager, Alfonso Sernández travels to the USA to train and induct new coaches into the sport of Padel
Mar Menor Golf Resort’s Club MMGR Director of Padel and General Manager, Alfonso Sernández, recently travelled to the Padel Club in Mundelein, Chicago, Illinois where, in his capacity as a qualified Padel instructor, he tutored induction courses for aspiring coaches. The course was a great success and resulted in 50 new coaches being certified to teach what has become the fastest growing sport in the world.
Training and certification for Padel coaches is carried out by qualified Padel instructors under the auspices of the RPP (Registro Profesional de Padel/Professional Padel Registry) and are recognised worldwide.
Alfonso was joined in Chicago by RPP colleagues Luis Mediero and Rudi Kalil and successfully completed the training and professional certification programmes for 50 new Padel coaches who will be listed on the Registry of Padel Professionals. RPP Coaching qualifications are sponsored by sports equipment manufacturer “Wilson”. The courses take place over 3 days and qualifications are awarded according to the course passed by the student, there are two levels:
RPP & Wilson CCC Level 1: Competitive Coaching Course
This course is designed to share the experience of RPP in teaching techniques to those padel technicians who start working full or part time with padel players, beginners, advanced and competition players. Also, for teachers or coaches who want to improve or enhance their knowledge, for amateur players who are interested in teaching guidelines and improving their own performance.
RPP & Wilson PCC Level 2: Professional Coaching Course
This course is intended for all teachers who have registered at CCC Level 1 before and deal with competition and professional players.
Padel and Pickleball at Club MMGR
If you would like to try your hand at the sport of padel or the newly introduced pickleball, either as a starter or experienced player, call in at Club MMGR in the Mar Menor Golf Resort for more details of these two fast growing recreational activities which can be enjoyed by players of all ages and fitness levels.
At Club MMGR you will be assured of first class coaching with Alfonso, who has been Director of Padel and General Manager since October 2022 and brings with him a wealth of national and international experience, including teaching padel, delivering clinics in European countries and managing clubs in the United States where padel is in its infancy. Through his efforts, Alfonso has been able to create a great community of players and to help each of them improve their level of play.

The Club MMGR sports and lesiure facility is located on the Mar Menor Golf Resort in the Region of Murcia.
