March 20 to 22 A weekend Berber Pirates tapas route in Los Alcázares
Pre-fiestas tapas at 21 bars and restaurants in Los Alcázares
There are still a couple of weeks to go before the annual Berber Pirate Raids fiestas in Los Alcázares, one of the most popular events in the annual calendar in the Region of Murcia, but the atmosphere is beginning to build and over the weekend of 20th to 22nd March the 8th “Ruta Berberisca” tapas route is being held prior to the 25th celebration of the festivities.
Taking part are 21 local bars and restaurants, namely San Antonio, Cafetería Isidro, Freiduría Don Pepe, La Gonga, Armonía, Cervecería A Estribor, La Encarnación, Las Palmeras, Cafetería Sin Nombre, Los Madriles, Bodega Castañeta, El Rincón de Cristina, J Navarro, Katharis, La Galería and Marylimón, as well as cocktails in Bariloche, Santa Teresa Sesenta y Uno and La Morenita.
The price of each savoury tapa (drink included) is 4 euros, desserts + coffee or hot drink are available at 4.50 euros and the cocktails are at a set price of 5 euros. You will be able to vote for your favourite tapa online here.
In addition, on Saturday 21st March a special “Pasabares” event is being held, consisting of a musical parade visiting various bars and setting out from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Registration is available for 25 euros online here.
And if you’ve still got strength left, the day ends with DJ music on the Real Paseo de la Feria, totally free of charge!
