Ona Hotels takes over the management of Mar Menor Golf Resort hotel
The hotel chain is expanding the number of accommodation services it has in the Region of Murcia
Ona Hotels & Apartments has just added the Mar Menor Golf Resort complex in Torre Pacheco to its portfolio. With this new establishment, the chain reinforces its presence on the Costa Cálida, where it already has other tourist accommodation centres, including three in La Manga (Ona Las Lomas Village, Ona Marina Arpón and Ona Mar Menor), and one in Fuente Álamo (Ona Hacienda del Álamo).Nacho Barrau, CEO of Ona, said, “At Ona Hotels & Apartments we are in full expansion and we want to continue growing through the vacation sector in Spain, in the most important sun and beach destinations on the Mediterranean coast.
“We strongly believe in the Costa Cálida as a destination and we want to contribute to positioning this region with a huge cultural heritage and delicious gastronomy to discover, even out of [the high] season.”
With this goal in mind of ‘de-seasonalising’ tourism in the Region of Murcia, the hotel chain is taking over the management of this establishment, which was built by the now defunct Polaris World.
The hotel has 64 rooms, 54 of which can be connected to make them family rooms, and 145 flats. Most are Superior category (twin or double bed, overlooking the pool), but there are also 5 Junior Suites, 1 Presidential Suite and 1 Royal Suite.
There is a minimum stay of three nights for the weekend in July, and a double room for one weekend this summer, from Thursday to Sunday, will set you back around 370 euros, or 448 euros if breakfast is included.
Ona Hotels’ takeover of the Mar Menor Golf Resort hotel, which include golf, a spa, a swimming pool and more, is part of an expansion plan to offer more tourist accommodation services across the Costa Cálida.
