Until January 8 Pablo Picasso exhibiton in Cartagena

Picasso 360º can be seen at the Roman Theatre Museum in Cartagena

This year has seen the 50^th anniversary of the great Spanish artist Pablo Picasso and to commemorate this an exhibition has gone on display at the Museo del Teatro Romano in Cartagena featuring works by 20 artists from different disciplines who are united in their desire to review and reinterpret the work of one of the 20^th century’s leading figures.

In this way the exhibition is a tribute not only to Picasso but also to young artists from the Region of Murcia, who began working on the project on April 15 (World Art Day).

The subject matter of the exhibition is inspired by a visit made by Picasso to Cartagena in September 1895, when he was 13 years old, and when one morning he sat with his easel and his palate and began painting.

The artists contributing to the exhibition are Cari Escudero, Manuel Zamora, Lluch, Paloma Rodríguez del Castillo, Geles C. Artés, Cari Gil, Paca Calvo, Clara Ledo, Madmoiselle Chocolat, Juan Pedro Esteban, Lola López, Laura Molina, Vicente Tiburcio, Jate, Katarzyna Rogowicz, Salvador Torres, Juan Álvarez& Jorge Gómez, and Pau y Goyo 203.
