Hot and sunny week ahead: Alicante weather forecast June 15-18
Another sunny week is expected with temperatures above 30°C in many areas
After a lovely summer weekend with plenty of sunshine and a light cool breeze, conditions are expected to be similar this week across the Alicante province. Temperatures will edge up slightly on Monday, although no major change is forecast. Some inland areas are likely to see more cloud developing during the afternoons, with a small chance of isolated showers at times.
Let's take a look at the daily forecast.
Monday June 15
There will be mostly clear skies, but some clouds may develop inland during the day. A few afternoon showers or even thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will edge up, with some inland areas reaching a high of 35°C.
Winds will be light to moderate from the west, turning south-easterly around midday, and occasionally picking up a little.
Tuesday June 16
Tuesday will be sunny with clear skies. Temperatures will drop a little with a high of 29°C on the coast and 32°C inland.
Winds will be light and variable, becoming easterly after lunch.
Wednesday June 17
Wednesday will be another warm, sunny day, although some cloud may develop again inland during the afternoon. Temperatures will reach the low thirties, with a high of 33°C.
Winds will be light and easterly, but they will pick up a little after lunch along the coast.
Thursday June 18
Another warm and sunny day is expected, with temperatures remaining much the same, reaching a high of 33°C.
Winds will again be light and variable but may pick up a little along the coast at times.
As we move further into proper summer weather and temperatures continue to rise, it's worth taking a bit of extra care in the sun over the coming days. Make sure to stay hydrated, use suncream regularly, and try to avoid the strongest heat in the middle of the day where possible. And of course, there's nothing wrong with taking a sneaky siesta when things heat up a little too much.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week

Monday June 15: Min 18ºC, Max 35ºC
Tuesday June 16: Min 19ºC, Max 32ºC
Wednesday June 17: Min 18ºC, Max 33ºC
Thursday June 18: Min 18ºC, Max 33ºC
