Until May 10 Contemporary Spanish painting exhibition in the city of Murcia
Tras Esa Montaña Hay Otra at the Palacio Almudí in the city of Murcia
Since the start of the current millennium it is generally held that the field of painting has seen significant changes, from it being a largely irrelevant medium in an age of photography and video to rediscovering a role in modern society, particularly after the global financial crisis of 2007-09.
This exhibition at the Palacio Almudí in the city of Murcia, entitled “Tras esa montaña hay otra” (Beyond that mountain stands another”), takes a look at the current panorama in Spanish painting through a series of works belonging to private collections in the Region of Murcia, with the artists represented including Miguel Fructuoso, Fernando Vélez Castro, Daniel G. Verbis, Guillermo Mora, María Carbonell, Sonia Navarro, Guillermo Velasco, Elvira Amor, Nicholas Woods, José Maldonado, Abdul Vas, Santiago Ydáñez, Yann Leto, Diego Balazs, Ángeles Agrela, Gala Knörr and Nico Munuera.
The exhibition runs until 10th May and is open to the public from Tuesday to Friday between 10.00 and 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00, on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 and 18.00 to 21.00 and on Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00.
